2015 News

From modest beginnings – 27 inaugural members – we had 3 events in 2015. Our initial match was held at Cobble Beach – under rainy and threatening skies. Our first winner was Andy Stewart. Our foursomes winner was undecided as play was abandoned due to inclement weather.

A sizable Canadian contingent enthusiastically attended this year’s two day Lucifer event on July 6-7. Once again – no Canadian winner at the Commonwealth tournament BUT we inaugurated an annual event of a match with our Australian counterparts at Royal Cinque Ports. To everyone’s surprise – a Canadian victory !! Once again played in a drenching rain.  Obviously, Cobble Beach provided excellent training.

In the Fall Event – the individual winner was Richard Halinda. He hosted a warm up match at Cherry Hill and then off to Niagara where he prevailed in a close match. In the foursomes – Surprise Surprise – poor weather caused the match to be cancelled.

All in All – A SUCCESSFUL START! We will definitely improve the weather in year 2. We look forward to many more years of good times, good cheer and outstanding hospitality for all.
