Oct. 10, 2023 Ontario Foursomes at King Valley Golf Club
A Tuesday morning, 10:30 start saw a planned 16 players begin the annual Foursomes for Ontario Strikers. Unfortunately a few last minute changes and our group was one man short but Paul Gorrie and his partner Paul Gorrie soldiered on regardless!
The weather was good but challenging as can be expected at this time of year and King Valley offered up a stern test for the teams. Eventually however when all was said and done, Malcolm Moore/Mike Hobart took 1st place with 36 points, Mark Russell/Memo Nafarate 2nd at 34 points and Mike Manley/Hartley Zwingerman 3rd at 30 points.
We’ve discussed making King Valley the official location for 2024 Fall Events and club management is open to the idea. Will be working on setting a firm date for that soon so that we can get a better turn out next year.
Sept. 25, 2023 Ontario Fall Individual Competition at The Pulpit Club

On Monday September 25th, 24 golfers gathered at The Pulpit course in Caledon, Ontario to participate in the Maple Leaf Strikers Fall Individual Score Golf Event. There were 21 Strikers and 3 Pulpit members who made up 6 foursomes who played golf on a beautiful Fall day. The Pulpit course was in superb condition and it bared it’s teeth on this day!
The winning score was posted by Don Rogers at 38 quota points, followed closely by Jim Diotte at 35 quota points, Greg Finkle at 33 quota points, Mark Russell at 32 quota points and John MacLeod at 31 quota points.
The group wishes to thank Malcolm Moore for his efforts in coordinating the event with the professional staff at The Pulpit.
